Again for the Fall semester of 2018, DSL staff will present a series of workshops related to software and other opportunities in the Lab:

An Introduction to R - 2018

For those who are new to the "R" statistical analysis package, this hands-on workshop will provide an introduction to how to view data sets and perform basic data manipulations and analyses.

Students bringing their laptops to the workshop may install and work with R in the course of the workshop.  Others may use library laptops with R already installed.

3D Printing & 3D Modeling - 2018

This workshop will introduce students to the fundamentals of 3D design and printing.

Intro to ArcGIS

For those who are new to the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), this workshop will demonstrate how to find, download, map and view geospatial data using the ESRI ArcMap GIS platform.

Students will have the opportunity to use the program during the workshop and, afterwards, may elect to practice their skills on one of the Digital Scholarship Lab's GIS workstation computers.
